It's a day for the umbrellas and high boots but if you're brave enough to face the weather there's plenty going on to keep you entertained.

‘A night of Brass’ – featuring St. Patrick’s Brass Band & Ennis Brass Band at takes place this evening at The Hardiman. These two Brass bands will each perform a collaboration of music before coming together to perform a stunning finale. Starts at 7:00pm

Check out the epic Music Bingo at Taylor’s Bar tonight. This is an event like no other! The outrageous Pyramid are back in the Kings Head for the weekly Sunday session playing all the hits from around 8:30pm.

Launched in the autumn of 2022, “Fireside Sessions” continues to be a huge hit in Salthill and showcases the best live music on Sunday nights in O’Reillys Bar and Kitchen. Be sure to pop into the cosy bar for a glass of wine, hot whiskey or creamy pint and enjoy a truly unique a live music experience. Music from 8:30pm

Open Mic Night at Róisín Dubh continues to provide a friendly stage for all of Galway's emerging talent. In the very capable hands of Mr Joycee proceedings take place upstairs from 9:30pm with sign up in the smoking area from 9pm

And if you find yourself out and about in the wee small hours and you fancy getting your groove on with a load of awesome dancers, consider joining us in the back room of the Roisin Dubh where we will be keeping it late and loud in spite of the weather!

Another glorious wintery evening is upon us and there's plenty to keep you busy throughout the night.

There's some gentle jazz in the Queen Street hotel from 3-6pm featuring special guest Dan Boswell on bass. And if you miss the first round of jazz you can check into Il Vicolo for round two from 7pm.

Songs from an Open Road presents Trio Mandili with special guests Samadharshana in an Taibhdhearc this evening. "Traditional Georgian polyphony, gently performed by female singers." Not to be missed. Doors 7:30pm.

Loads of fun to be had tonight in Taylors at the Sunday Hoolie with Paul Belton & Mark Dooley at the helm. There's a free a pint and kick off is at 7:30pm

Curtis Stigers performs a look back at 13 albums, thousands of concert performances and millions of miles on the road in The Black Box tonight. Doors 8pm.

You can see Irish multi-instrumentalist and songwriter Anna Mieke in the Roisin Dubh tonight. "Anna Mieke’s deft songwriting and enveloping compositions have asserted her as a vital voice amongst Ireland’s alt-folk genre". Doors 8pm.

These early evenings make those firesides all the more tempting. If you're looking for some musical entertainment tonight the town is alive with activity. There's trad in the front bar in Carrolls from 7pm. Molly O’Mahony is performing at The Loft with doors at 8pm. Tara Breen, Pádraig Rynne & Jim Murray embark on an odyssey of wonder, joy and music at the Town Hall Theatre tonight. Doors 8pm. Javi and crew bring some beautiful Spanish Jazz to Tigh Neachtain from 9pm. Russian feminist protest art collective Pussy Riot perform in the Roisin Dubh tonight with doors at 8pm. The long evenings are here to stay making the high stool a welcome prospect. There's plenty to keep you occupied if you're out and about tonight.

There's Sunday trad in the front bar in Carrolls from around 7pm. You can catch the always epic Pyramid doing their thing in the Kings Head from around 8:30pm. Tigh Neachtains has resident Viking the "V" in the musicians corner from around 9pm.

If you're down west you can catch the Tick Tick TUNES with support from: Pavilion, Hannah, Rory & Killian in the Róisín Dubh. Doors: 8:00pm. The Sunday Hooley continues in Taylors Bar at 8pm with DJ Paul Belton banging out the tunes until closing time.
